Almost everyone makes all payments online in the current day. However, various issues related to scammers has raised since the pandemic. The Government, in Budget 2023, will increase the security measures for internet banking. Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has announced to stop using SMS-based one-time passwords (OTP) for high-risk transactions. This initiative is to combat financial scams, with cybercrime on the rise in Malaysia and globally.
