How much is the new Passenger Service Charge (PSC)?
These are the newly revised Passenger Service Charge (PSC) rates set by MAVCOM for RP1, applicable to passengers departing from and transferring through Malaysia. The rates encompass a security charge for the provision of security services at airports.
Domestic Flight
No changes have been made to domestic flight charges, except for transfers, which will now cost RM7 per passenger.
International Flight
The fee varies based on your departure airport. For flights departing from KLIA Terminal 1, the fee is RM73; for KLIA Terminal 2 and other airports, it’s RM50.
This applies to passengers traveling within or beyond ASEAN, without exception.
Connecting flights at KLIA Terminal 1 will incur a fee of RM42, while at KLIA Terminal 2 and other airports, the fee will be RM29.
Reminder: These changes will only affect flights departing after June 1, 2024. Tickets purchased before this date will not be subject to the new fees.
