Expect the unexpected
On Tuesday, one of the people’s favourite spot, The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort in Langkawi island was caught on fire. Not once, but twice!

What actually happened?
Burnt about 80% of the building, which was caused by strong wind and wooden structure. Situated about 49 kilometres away from Kuah Town, the fire incident happened two days ago and yesterday morning.
The first fire started after 4 PM on Tuesday afternoon, which caused 40 firefighters for the rescue mission. By 10 PM, the damage was under control. Unfortunately, the fire wasn’t put out until Wednesday’s daytime.
How did the fire started?
It all began in the kitchen of the hotel. Although, the authorities have yet to discover the real reason for the back-to-back fire incidents happened. Luckily, everyone was evacuated safely.
The unfortunate event has spurred some concerns in regards to the damage of the nearby forest, due to its location. Just look at the view, so breathtaking. We are truly saddened over the news 🙁
Will The Andaman welcomes visitors anytime soon?
Landmarks Bhd, the company that owns the luxury resort confirms to include renowned designer Jean-Michel Gathy for the repositioning and rebuilding plan. A date has not been set yet so far. With that being said, I’m sure that the process will take longer than expected due to the current pandemic.
