Stay at one-of-a-kind log cabins. As we arrived at the resort, we checked in at the lobby and from there, we were offered a buggy ride to our cabin. As we sat in the buggy, we got a glimpse of the beauty of Philea. Our buggy driver was more than happy to answer our questions about the resort.
The log cabins were definitely a wonder as we approached. Built with log woods that were imported all the way from Russia, the cabins stood proud and tall among flourishing trees. We stayed at the Pavillion Villa which has 3 bedrooms and a living room where we got to get together at night to spend some time with each other. The bedroom was fit for a king. The resort stuck to its wood designs with wooden bedframes, wooden furniture and much more.

Indulge in Culinary Delights at Cravo Cravo by Philea Resort and Spa
We got to satisfy our hunger at Philea’s breakfast buffet during our stay. On the first day of our stay, the resort unfortunately did not have a buffet but an ala carte menu to choose from. Although the options were pretty limited, we each got to choose a variety of dishes to try out. Breakfast on the first day sadly did not meet our expectations that we had for this 5-star resort.
The second day, however, the resort had a buffet provided for its guests. Regrettably, the options for the buffet were also limited. There were a handful of local dishes for us to choose from such as Nasi Lemak, Fried Noodles and Porridge. Although breakfast was filling, we were hoping for more options.
Jungle Trekking at Philea Resort and Spa
During the morning of one of our days at the resort, we took a buggy ride down to Philea’s jungle trek. There we were greeted by a nature connoisseur who took us around and gave us an extensive tour of the marvellous plants and wildlife around. We were also shown a beautiful vineyard where the resort grew and harvested their own grapes. We got to taste the sweet and juicy grapes right from the vine.
