I honestly still can’t believe the news of Shigeru Minamoto, the creator of Super Mario confirming the opening of Nintendo World in Singapore soon. Well, can you? I mean, it’s like a ray of light has shone upon us in Asia despite the current pandemic.

But don’t get too excited yet! ‘Coz the grand opening of Super Nintendo World will begin with Universal Studios Japan first. Set to launch on February 4, 2021, even though the number of visitors may not be as overwhelming as the previous ones. Well, it’s COVID-19 after all. The less is better, right?
“We understand it may be challenging right now for some of you overseas due to Covid-19, there are plans to open Super Nintendo World in other countries that people can visit in the future.” – Shigeru Minamoto.

Following the grand opening in Japan, Super Nintendo World is also scheduled to land in United States’ fav spots such as California, Florida, Hollywood, and Orlando soon. Yes, this includes Singapore too. There are no confirmations on the specific dates yet. I’m just so excited over the news, regardless!
When will Super Nintendo World be opening in Singapore?
The theme park was scheduled to open in 2025 by Resorts World Sentosa in 2019. Both kids and adults will enjoy the sight of the Mushroom Kingdom brought to life with a Mario-themed food store. Not to mention, the opening of the Minion Park in Universal Studios Singapore too. Wow! Hopefully, there will be no delay so that we can live our Super Mario dreams real soon!
