Our hearts and prayers go out to Japan
On Saturday, a powerful earthquake struck off the coast of Fukushima in Japan. It was felt strongly in Tokyo as well, but there was no Tsunami detected. Even though more than 100 people have been injured but thankfully, everyone survived.
Unfortunately, nearly one million homes lose their power while smaller ones lose their water supplies. On top of that, train services have been halted and landslides were triggered as well.
The recent quake came nearly a decade after an earthquake and tsunami hit Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant that killed over 18,000 people. Marked as the worst incident happened in Japan ever since the 1986 Chernobyl Disaster.
