“The best Raya for me would always be at my mom’s families in Kuantan, Pahang. We’d all ‘balik kampung’, and since we have a lot of cousins all growing up together, it was always a fun, big and happening gathering at my grandparents’ place. On Eid of Raya, the families would come by and have a big last iftar. And then later at night, we’d play with firecrackers and share stories.”
