Pokok by Brick House, Petaling Jaya
A Glasshouse Escape in the Heart of KL
Tucked away in the city’s lushest corners, Pokok by Brick House is a sanctuary where nature, architecture, and brunch vibes collide in the best way. What began as a glasshouse gem at MAHSA Avenue has now branched out to prime spots like Lalaport, Sunway Velocity, IOI City Putrajaya, and Lot 91 KLCC — but its core identity remains intact: a place to reset, refuel, and recharge in the most aesthetically pleasing way possible.
The café’s signature design — all airy glass panels, soaring greenery, and golden daylight — creates a setting that’s almost dreamlike. Whether you’re catching up with friends, flying solo with a book, or just scrolling through life at a slower pace, Pokok offers the perfect visual and emotional escape from the city’s chaos; ironically at the heart of the city itself. It’s not just about the food (though we’ll get there), it’s about how you feel the moment you sit down and exhale.
Instagram-Worthy Ambience with Soul
One of the key reasons Pokok stands out is its iconic glasshouse ambience, especially at the MAHSA flagship. The space is built to glow — both literally and digitally. Natural light floods the café, bouncing off glass walls and leafy surroundings to make everything (and everyone) look better. It’s no surprise that it’s a hotspot for Instagrammers and casual café-hoppers alike. That relaxed hum of conversation, the occasional mist on the roof, and the low buzz of clinking cutlery makes “doing nothing” feel like an art form.

The setting doesn’t just look good — it feels intentional. The balance of outdoor airiness and indoor comfort invites you to linger. It’s the kind of place where a spontaneous meet-up turns into an hours-long conversation, or a quick coffee turns into a whole afternoon. No one’s rushing you. No one’s watching. You’re just part of the tranquil flow of this glass-and-green bubble.
A Brunch Menu That Comforts and Surprises
And of course, the menu is just as satisfying as the vibe. From rich Big Breakfast platters and silky Carbonara to more local-leaning favourites like Nasi Lemak and the occasional creative sweet treat (hello, Matcha Affogato and Down Under), Pokok caters to both comfort food seekers and curious brunch adventurers. The drinks hit that perfect note too, with options like cold brews and passionfruit tea blends that match the café’s relaxed, tropical energy.

What makes Pokok click with our vibe is its effortless blend of style, substance, and soul. It’s a café that asks nothing of you — other than to enjoy the moment. And for anyone chasing that perfect KL hideaway to do nothing beautifully, Pokok is already waiting, bathed in sunlight and brewing something good.
