Diarrhea in a blizzard

Diamond Beach
So even though we read that most campsites are closed during winter (because, duh), we thought we could still use their outdoor facilities like their toilet. Our first campsite, the toilets were open. Hooray, we thought. Until we realised that the pipes were frozen so there was no water. No water to top up our reserves for the campervan, and yep, no water to wash/flush. At 3am that night, my stomach decides it’s the best time to have diarrhea. In the middle of a blizzard. So what else could I do, but dig a hole in the snow and answer nature’s desperate call. I think I cried then, but my tears probably froze into snowflakes. Thank God I packed loads of wet wipes.
