Foreign Nature By Julius Horsthuis and Ben Lukas Boysen
The intriguing mathematical landscapes of Foreign Nature reveal the complicated beauty of nature through mesmerising fractals.
Julius Horsthuis creates immersive experiences where self-similar shapes and patterns appear independent of zooming in or out using computer-generated fractals, which are the visual depiction of mathematical formulas. This show invites viewers to explore the universe’s hidden geometries by fusing digital art, mathematics, and exploration.
Be prepared to be completely submerged beyond your senses as you go through these fantastical universes where mathematical marvels and artistic expression converge. The specially created soundtrack by Ben Lukas Boysen heightens this sensory experience, which is supposed to produce altered states of consciousness similar to psychonautic experiences.
