A Maritime appreciation wall at the Heinold’s First and Last Chance Saloon
Originally built in the year 1883, which the remains of a whaling vessel, is still there until now.
There are honestly many unique things to say about this saloon, but what attracts me the most is the signed dollar bills of past sailors and soldiers. These notes are covering some of the walls in the saloon. The sailors and soldiers would sign their money and put it on the wall. In a way, when they return to California, they would some money ready for them. Unfortunately, not all came back 🙁 What a great way to appreciate maritime history!
