Tell us about your life journey, how did you end up with karma yoga?

Being the high achiever that I am, I spent the majority of my life living my passion in creative advertising while balancing it with yoga. I find joy in sharing people’s stories, making beautiful things, and making change matter while never losing my sense of wonder. At the end of the day, I always challenge and ground myself back with the practice of yoga.
There’s a saying in the advertising world, that sometimes a day feels like months because of the hectic nature of the job that is always chasing after deadlines, competitions, and awards. However, I look at it differently. I enjoy every single day I get to create new experiences for people and enhance people’s decision-making while challenging the status quo and innovating beyond creativity and technology. My last stint as the Regional Creative Director in APAC for one of the largest digital advertising agencies in Asia has taught me so much about the potential of where we can go and what we can do to bring creativity to new heights. I believe strongly that yoga helped me daily with clarity and composure in my daily role managing the creative team within different regions.
At the back of my mind, I always knew that yoga brought transcendent and transformational change within me, and therefore I often imagine what it could do to the world. Karma yoga studio, was the brainchild of that thinking; spreading good every day, through the act of service and practice of yoga.
