Better safe than sorry…
Love yourself and the people around you by taking full precautions about the outbreak of COVID-19 in Malaysia. Even though the number of cases is not as high as before, this doesn’t mean that we are free. There is no definite cure yet. Until then, we have to do everything we can for ourselves and the future.
The current situation
- Over the last 28 days, the new cases of COVID-19 in Malaysia have been decreased or stabilized.
- Centers for Disease Control and Protection (CDC) urges older people, anyone with certain underlying medical conditions, and others who are at an increased risk of severe illness should postpone unimportant traveling.
- 16 new cases from Tawar and Sala clusters.
It is advisable to not be traveling anywhere right now. Why? It increases the chance of getting and spreading COVID-19 easily. You may not get the symptoms but you could be spreading it to others. Places like airports, bust stations, rest stops, and train stations are the ones exposed to the virus. In the air and on the surfaces. You will also find it hard to keep a good social distance with such busy places. But if you really want to travel, make sure that you are well. And don’t be traveling around with someone who is sick. The most important part is that, don’t travel anywhere if you have been around someone with the virus. Let’s try to save life as many as we can.
What to do when traveling?
- Wear a mask at all times to keep your nose and mouth covered in public settings.
- Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer. IMPORTANT. Don’t leave your room without a mini sanitizer in your bag.
- Avoid direct contact with anyone who is sick.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Try to distract yourself lol.
- Stay at least 6-feet away from anyone. Yes, the ones who are not from your household.
Post-travel precautions
- Keep in-check of your health. If you are unwell and have the virus’ symptoms, meet up with a doctor ASAP!
- Stay at least 6-feet away from anyone who is not from your household, both indoors and outdoors.
- Wear a mask at all times to keep your nose and mouth covered when you’re out and about.
- Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer, both indoors and outdoors.
Make sure you got everything right. And remind everyone around you about the importance of this message. Share with your friends and family if you have to. As long as everyone is safe and sound. Take care!
