Alor Setar Chinatown, Kedah
Yes, Malaysia is well-known for preserving historic architecture and artefacts. This includes places like Penang Island and Melaka. But little that you know, Alor Setar’s Chinatown is among the most preserved ones in Malaysia. Taking you back to 1950s of Malaysia, each store or house has its own unique colours, styles and decorations. Unlike Penang, the occupants in Alor Setar’s Chinatown still perform the trade of their older generations. Now I would love to see that! Also, you will get to enjoy cafe-hopping around the town with old school interior designs.
