This year, Mercedes-Benz unveiled three new vehicles for future electric mobility redefining its luxury electric vehicle portfolio.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia continues its product push to take the lead in electric cars. Three new Mercedes-EQ models have been developed to pave the way for an electric future in the country. As of now, Mercedes-Benz unveiled three new vehicles for future electric mobility to be in line with its global direction to go all-electric by the end of the decade. The sales of electric vehicles are predicted to explode over the next few years.
The EQS marks the launch of a new generation of batteries with significantly higher energy density. It has a usable energy content of around 107.8 kWh. The innovative battery management software, developed in-house, allows updates over the air (OTA). With ranges up to 782 kilometers (WLTP), the drive of the EQS also meets every expectation of a progressive saloon in the S-Class segment. The plan has been proposed toward the goal of producing a carbon-neutral new car fleet within the next 20 years as part of the “Ambition 2039“.
There are now electric charging stations everywhere, but mainly at gas stations. These stations have been installed in many locations. Petronas and Shell are offering to provide high-performance charging stations all around the country of Malaysia. Shell provides benefits to its users whose vehicles can be charged from empty to 80 percent full in less than half an hour. On the other hand, Petronas offers the advantage of charge which can fill up to 20% in just 30 minutes.
