FAQs – Guest
If you have installed the TREVO app and want to start exploring, this may help you to speed the process. The following covers all, regardless if you’re the guest or thinking to be the host soon.
Q: How do I book a car?
A: Sign up on the app >> Complete ID verification >> Enter date >> Select car >> Book >> Drive
Q: How do I enter a promo code?
A: Account >> Promos >> Enter promo code >> Find a car >> Request to book >> Enter promo code
Q: Do I meet with the host or is the car delivered?
A: TREVO is like Airbnb – Contact the host and discuss on delivery/pickup Labeled “Delivery” or “TREVO Shield” → Delivery is provided
Q: Do I have to pay for delivery?
A: TREVO currently provides free delivery promotion within Klang Valley and Penang (Island only). *Subject to change
Q: What do I have to do when I get the car?
A: Follow the steps on the app. Conduct inspection >> Enter Mileage >> Start driving
Q: How am I protected?
A: Basic – Ranges from the min. of RM 2,500to RM 6,000 when damage is reported. The excess amount is based on 2.5% of the insured vehicle value. Super Collision Damage Waiver (Only available for cars under TREVO Shield) – Ranges from RM250 to RM600. The excess amount is based on 0.25% of the insured vehicle value.
Q: What happens when I exceed mileage?
A: The max mileage allows 200km/day. RM0.50 is charged for excess mileage.
Q: Can I cancel a booking?
A: If you cancel 24 hours before the trip, you will be charged one day’s amount of booking. To request for a refund, please contact our customer service team on the in-app live chat.
Q: Does booking include petrol?
A: No. We encourage our guests to adhere to our community guidelines which state that petrol should be filled to how it was before the trip.
Q: Can P license register?
A: No. TREVO has a strict policy that allows only those with CDL to book a car.
Q: What happens when I get into an accident?
A: Contact our customer service directly.
Q: Is TREVO available in Malaysia only?
A: TREVO is currently only available in Klang Valley and Penang (Island only).
Q: Does TREVO collect any deposit?
A: We charge a pre-authorization fee of RM100. This is to protect our hosts in case of any summons, or minor damages. This is refundable in 7-16 days*.
Q: How long will it take to get a refund if I cancel/withdraw my booking?
A: Refunds upon Cancellation/Withdrawal – All banks EXCEPT Maybank. If the booking has not yet been accepted, Guest is not charged yet. If the booking has been accepted, charges will be refunded within 2-5 days, depending on the banks.

*Released from TREVO within 7 days. No of days for the amount to be reflected in the account is subject to the bank the Guest is using.
Q: What if there is another driver?
A: Guest who booked the car (Account Holder) will need to inform the Host first, then our customer service through the in-app live chat in the ‘Account’ tab. A secondary driver must also be a TREVO member that has completed the KYC process.
Q: There’s something wrong with the car during my usage. What do I do?
A: Immediately take pictures of the issue and inform the car’s Host, then our customer service through the in-app live chat.
