FAQs – Host
Q: How do I become a host?
A: Sign up >> Verify ID >> HOST >> Share my car >> Follow the steps to share a car. Get them to come to our host onboarding session
Q: What documents do I need to share my car?
A: Road tax, Insurance cover note, Car grant, Car photos: 3 exterior, 3 interior
Q: How does the marketplace fee work?
A: TREVO Shield – earn 60% of your booking rate. Basic Protection – earn 75% of your booking rate.
Q: How does Trevo determine the booking rate?
A: Booking rate is based on 0.15% – 0.30% of your car’s SUM insured value.
Q: How does insurance work?
A: TREVO Shield “Preferred Road Protection Coverage” – protects your car up to RM 3 mil. Must make cars available for 21 days.
Basic Protection – Your personal insurance. Availability of cars based on their preferences.
Q: Who pays for the damages?
A: TREVO Shield – TREVO is responsible for Handling Hosts’ claims and reimbursement with TREVO’s Preferred Insurer, and provide third-party liability protection coverage up to RM 3 Mil.
Non-TREVO Shield – TREVO shall provide assistance to Host in self-managed claims to the Hosts’ own insurer.
Q: How do I ensure the safety of my car? (eg. theft)
A:We offer GPS tracker option for hosts. Only pay a RM180 refundable deposit. This option can be found when the host is going through the sharing process in-app.
Q: What happens when I need to reject a booking after accepting it?
