The trip where I discovered my obsession for Tinseltown’s chicken wings, met Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and reenacted a few scenes from the Gossip Girl series.
As my Instagram and Facebook feeds are filled with travelling images, I guess it’s fair for me to share my travelling story too. My 2014 Euro-trip definitely deserves a throwback. So here goes…
Our last-minute plan to travel to London was a success. Convinced my parents with the help of my sister and voila, the next thing I know, I was a night away from my flight. It was indeed a trip to remember. So many things to talk about!

Traveled with my closed ones
Meet everyone! I flew to London from Malaysia with my closed ones (Zack and Farine) only to be reunited with the rest of the gang (Juhaida and Adila) in London.

Obsessed with Tinseltown’s chicken wings
For those who knows, knows! I mean, who doesn’t enjoy the flavourful taste of Tinseltown’s chicken wings, right? During our first visit, we ordered a plate of it, which was to be shared with the five of us. After our first bite, everyone had their own to finish LOL.

Walked around Bayswater in a traditional ‘kaftan’
Yes, I did! That happened because we were in a rush to check-in at the Bayswater hotel for a night. We wanted to try the famous Roti Canai with strawberry prepared by the assigned chef. Luckily, it was late at night so I didn’t receive any weird stares throughout the walk.
#4
Had my first Burger & Lobster
Back then, Burger & Lobster was not available in Malaysia. So like a little kid who had her first ice-cream, so excited and happy, that was literally me!
#5
Met Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin
Oh, yes! It’s not like every day we get to meet a legendary guitarist like Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, right? Honestly speaking, I didn’t know who he was until Juhaida told us. Oops, sorry! No wonder everyone stared at him the whole time while we were at the restaurant. He was so nice and friendly guys! He even asked his friend to take a picture of us using his phone. Imagine that!

Explored the London city like a true tourist
Our trip wouldn’t be completed without visiting the famous London Eye and London Bridge. It just had to be done! Oh, and we shopped a lot too 🙂
#7
Amazed by the beautiful architecture
My interest in art, interior design, and architecture is a never-ending story. So I enjoyed walking for hours around the city just to witness the beautiful designs. So beautiful!

Experience dining at Ping Pong’s
underground restaurant
Yup, we had to walk all the way down to get to our dining table. Amazing experience and delicious Dim Sum! Just perfect!

Reunited with my sister at Sushi Samba
As dramatic as it sounds, we were only apart a few days before she arrived in London from Malaysia. I still remember specifically what happened that day.
We were supposed to have lunch at Sushi Samba. I ran to her and we hugged as if it was the first time we were seeing each other. I’m not crazy but it felt emotional back then. And now, I just can’t believe that it happened LOL.

Witnessed the beautiful scenery
from my train ride to Paris
This picture does not do justice to the stunning view that I get to experience during my train ride to Paris. I tried my best to not fall asleep to enjoy every moment of the trip. Unfortunately, I did a few minutes before my arrival in Paris.
Also, you should know that a few minutes after I took this picture, my friend’s hot chocolate spilt all over my skort. Man was I furious when it happened. This explained as there was no evidence taken. Still love her to bits though!

Went to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland
Literally the happiest place on earth for me! I guess I was the most excited one in our group to be entering Disneyland. Been there when I was younger with my family but we only managed to play two-rides due to time constraints. Thanks to my cool and understanding group, we spent hours before everyone had enough of cartoons and magical creatures in a day.

Walked for miles to find a cab in Paris but…
Only to find that there was a cab riot on the same day. Now to think about it, it was a kind of funny situation. Not so much back then when our bodies and legs ache from all the walk. What a day! But the amazing part was that we get to explore the streets of Paris.

Moulin Rouge affair
I believed that it was our last night in Paris before we head back to Malaysia. We dressed up in our best suits and made it to one of Paris must-visit places, the Moulin Rouge. Pictures and videos were not allowed in there. But I still remember the big anaconda-like snake slide out of the aquarium and felt like it was about to eat us. Yes, I’m a bit of a drama queen 🙂

Separated in Louvre Museum
The museum was definitely a huge space. So the five of us got separated into two groups accidentally after the first picture below was taken. It took us about half an hour to be reunited later on.

Reenacted a few scenes from Gossip Girl
Yes, we did! As a true Chuck Bass fan, I had a lot of fun doing this with Juhaida. Thanks for layaning me!
Oh, take me back there, please! Hopefully, there will be more fun trips with these lovely people soon.
