Gab Mejia from the Philippines
Gab is a National Geographic explorer and is passionate about wildlife photography and conservation. In 2021, he was awarded the World Wildlife Fund For Nature International President’s Youth Award. Besides that, Gab was also listed on the 2021 Forbes Under 30 List for The Arts in Asia for photography. His story started when his dad took him mountain climbing, sparking his interest in the natural world and the stories he could discover and capture behind it. His vision for this project is to show a different side of Singapore, capturing moments of the wild and pockets of nature.

The People’s Gallery–
A woman scans a QR code on the wall at the void deck of an HDB flat in Bishan. Throughout 25 HDB void decks across Singapore, 50 pieces artworks by Singapore and Southeast Asian artists are brought closer in the palm of one’s hand through the innovative technology of augmented reality. The People’s Gallery was National Gallery Singapore’s efforts to bring art to locals through images, multilingual audio guides, videos.
Intertidal Exploration–
Along the sandy shores of Tanjong Rimau beach in Sentosa, with Singapore’s prominent skylines as the backdrop, the intertidal exploration offers a unique perspective to appreciate the wonders of the marine microworld that hides underneath the rise and fall of the tides.
Description;
Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle–
One of the oldest surviving brick-built kilns in Singapore, Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle’s Dragon Kiln has been firing up thousands of vases, ceramics, and pots since the 1960s.
Hampstead Wetlands Park–
The Hampstead Wetlands Park is a quaint, enchanted oasis filled with native flora and fauna. One can immerse and stroll along the banks of this tropical wetland, where rare birds and flowers sprawl across this nature sanctuary.
